Hemsworth Arts and Community Academy
Hemsworth Arts and Community Academy is a mixed secondary school and sixth form located in Hemsworth in the City of Wakefield, West Yorkshire, England.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Hemsworth Arts and Community Academy )〕
The school was first known as Hemsworth Grammar School, one of three grammar schools founded in 1547 by the Archbishop of York, Robert Holgate. It was renamed Hemsworth High School when the school became comprehensive. In 2001 the gained specialist status as an Arts College and was renemed Hemsworth Arts and Community College. The school converted to academy status in August 2013 and was renamed Hemsworth Arts and Community Academy. The school is now sponsored by the Wakefield City Academies trust,〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Wakefield City Academies Trust, Achieving excellence through partnership )〕 but continues to coordinate with Wakefield Council for admissions.
